International beverage industry expert appointed as CEO of Altia

Tennilä as the new CEO of the company as of June 2014.
Pekka Tennilä, (age
44), M.Sc.(Econ.) will transfer to Altia from Carlsberg Group, where he has
been employed since 2001, most recently as CEO, Baltics and CEO of Aldaris
Brewery, stationed in Latvia. Previously, he has worked at Carlsberg as
CEO of Saku Brewery in Estonia and been responsible for Sinebrychoff’s exports,
with the focus on the worldwide export of Battery and export of cider and beer
to nearby markets. He has also held managerial positions in Kellogg Company
(Nordic Kellogg’s) and Leaf Confectionery.
Tennilä is an international beverage industry
expert with solid brand experience. His diverse experience in Altia’s strategically important markets and demanding executive
positions will provide a good foundation for heading Altia in challenging market conditions,” says Matti Tikkakoski, Chairman of the
Board of Directors of Altia.
